We source responsibly.

Working closely with our partners, we are committed to ensuring a responsible supply chain based on best practices. We know the origins of our products, and thus that they are ethically sourced and are in no way associated with conflict zones. We do not tolerate or facilitate any human rights abuses, nor do we participate in corruption or money laundering.

We work with a select group of Responsible Jewellery Council certified partners with whom we have long-standing relationships. This ensures traceability throughout the supply chain.

Every day, we strive to provide our customers with products of impeccable quality. We achieve this goal by constantly innovating and improving our processes and maintaining extremely high standards when it comes to selecting materials and conducting our business.

Last but not least, we are committed to providing our customers with clear and honest information, and to not making any misleading statements or claims regarding our products and their manufacturing methods.

WE RESPECT THE ENVIRONMENT

To lead by example as a company of the future, we take concrete action to protect the environment, combat climate change and preserve resources. We are committed to responsibly managing our waste and emissions. Therefore, in order to limit our environmental impact, we abide by the four Rs: reduction, reuse, recycling and recovery.
In addition, we are in the process of making our manufacturing processes more efficient in terms of natural resources and energy throughout the product life cycle. Alongside our ambitious greenhouse gas emission reduction goal, we strive to promote the use of renewable energy, as evidenced by the 1,600m2 of solar panels that top the roof of our factory.

Our efforts and actions in these areas are transparently set out in our CSR reports over the years, allowing you to follow our progress and view the certificates attesting to our commitments.

We are committed to cultivating a welcoming, family-oriented and motivating working environment in which our employees can develop and thrive and we can build trust in a friendly atmosphere. For us, pursuing a zero-risk approach in the workplace is essential.

Against this background, we comply with current health laws and regulations and implement best practices to ensure safety and security in our workplace.

We ensure that our employees have equal opportunities in employment, based on objective criteria, including equal pay for women and men, which is a key element of our policy. What’s more, we offer training opportunities for our employees, as well as apprenticeships for those just starting out in the world of work.

Werthanor offers further training to promote the personal development of its employees, as well as supporting young people and apprentices with training, education and work experience opportunities. Three types of apprenticeship are on offer :

Werthanor has obtained the SGS Fair-ON-Pay certification — a proactive commitment and verification process for pay equity, not only to comply with legal obligations but also to highlight the importance of gender equality.

CERTIFICATIONS

EcoVadis

EcoVadis is a platform for evaluating CSR (corporate social responsibility) performance. The assessment is based on four main criteria :

ethics, the environment, responsible purchasing, and social issues and human rights.

EcoVadis allows us to raise awareness of our environmental and societal commitments and share our CSR performance with our business partners. Werthanor is proud to have obtained the Silver Medal.

SWISS TRIPLE IMPACT (STI)

The Swiss Triple Impact (STI) programme, initiated by B Lab, aims to strengthen and accelerate the engagement of the private sector in achieving 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The Swiss Triple Impact supports companies in developing a social and environmental action plan for implementing the SDGs. Werthanor’s plan enables it to measure its social and environmental impact and identify opportunities for improvement.

B. SCS-007 CERTIFIED SUSTAINABILITY RATED DIAMONDS

Consumers are increasingly seeking diamonds that meet the highest standards of ethical and environmental responsibility, in order to protect both people and the planet. The new Sustainability Rated Diamonds Standard, developed as the first part of the SCS-007 Jewelry Sustainability Standard series, is the first comprehensive, multi-stakeholder sustainability standard developed for the diamond industry.
